Driving to the grocery store, Blair at the wheel of my Toyota Camry.

"Did you know your brakes squeal?"

"Huh?"

"Your brakes squeal. You might want to have that checked."

"Oh." 

"You haven't noticed?"

"I don't pay attention." 

Pause. "That's okay. I'm sure my next wife will pay attention to things like that."
